Jameson Distillery

Yesterday Hannah and I decided to go to the Jameson Distillery for a tour! If you don't already know, Jameson is Irish Whiskey, so the tour is a must-see while in Ireland. This was my brothers favorite drink of choice, so he was on my mind throughout a majority of the tour - he would have loved it!
 A Jameson chandelier? Why not!
Throughout the tour we learned the process of  how the whiskey is made. The longer the whiskey sits, the more evaporates. They call this "the angels share." Cute, right? The process begins at the bottom left barrel (one year), to three years, to five years (when they start bottling), up to the top left, to the top right (18 years).
My first taste of Jameson! The choices to enjoy our "complimentary" drink were straight or with sprite, ginger ale, or cranberry juice. I opted for ginger ale!
 Cheers, Galen :)

Whiskey marmalade... I haven't tired it yet, but I'll let you know how it is!

The tour was interesting and I'm glad we went! This weekend has been great - markets today and horseback riding in the mountains tomorrow :) Posts about those soon to come.
