Home again, home again!

Well - I'm back! The trip was amazing. Hannah, Katie, and I saw everything there was to see in each city. A great feeling to leave knowing we did as much as possible!

A sad feeling usually comes around when vacations come to an end, however, I'm still in Europe, baby! The three of us were excited to come back home to our little Dublin. It really does feel like home :).

The toughest part about this week hasn't been returning to classes, but the fact that I have so many papers to write. And start. Pictures from my trip may be a little delayed, but my goal is to have at least one entry up by the end of the week! I'll separate each city into a different post - but here are some highlights to look forward to:

London
-Walking London for six hours on day 1 we saw Tower Bridge, Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey, and rode the London Eye

Munich
-Walking tour of the city
-Tour of Dachau
-It was Carnival

Zurich
-So. Beautiful.
-Sipped hot wine and ate (extremely overpriced but delicious) Swiss chocolate ice cream at the top of Mount Titlis of the Swiss Alps
-Carnival here as well

My favorite? Munich! A cute city, and I would not mind living off of sausages and German potato salad forever. I want to go back and explore other cities! The most beautiful? Switzerland! Breathtaking views.

A few of my favorite pictures:

it's perfect - big ben, the double decker bus, all the people - i love London!
in London we didn't have much luck with restaurants. this is one of my favorites from Munich because of the place we found on our first night. a great food/beer hall (very typical in Germany): wooden chairs and benches, locals, live music, and some great food and drink! Edelstoff is the beer in Germany.
we shared our meal with two other Americans who are teaching in Spain - we ran into them at the entrance of the hall, not knowing whether to seat ourselves or wait. everyone definitely knew we were tourists! note: seat yourself.
check out all those steeples! this was taken from a huge patio that is a part of the university campus in Zurich - jealous.

Can't wait to share more!
